Aerospace threads, whether printed or already in service.

In aerospace, threaded connections carry load under vibration and fatigue, and the components around them are expensive and slow to replace. Silbertool forms threads rather than cutting them: restoring damaged threads on hardware in service, and finishing printed threads that no machining process can reach.

An aerospace component is rarely worth less than the thread that failed on it. Parts carry long lead times, damage tends to appear on the external threads of shafts, rods and mounting hardware, and cutting a compromised thread further only removes what is left of it.

Silbertool recovers that profile by displacing material, with no cutting and no heat input, so there is no heat-affected zone to account for afterwards. The same forming step turns an as-printed thread into a functional connection. Read the full method.

Parts you cannot wait for

A damaged thread can hold an entire assembly hostage while a replacement is sourced. Where the thread is recoverable and your own approvals allow it, restoring the profile keeps the component in place instead of in a queue.

No heat input

Forming adds no thermal input, so there is no heat-affected zone, no distortion risk, and no post-weld treatment to plan around. The material surrounding the thread is left in the condition it was qualified in.

Printed threads

On printed parts in superalloys, titanium and CoCrMo, forming the flanks and root improves geometric precision and fatigue resistance, with results documented by technical universities and aerospace R&D partners.
