XR-120 Thread Saver
A large-format, hand-operated restoration system for damaged external threads from Ø 50–120 mm / 2"–4 3/4".

XR-120 extends Silbertool cold-form thread restoration to large-diameter components where replacement, teardown, or outsourcing can create major downtime. The tool uses the same XR-60/120 pitch-specific roller system to restore recoverable external thread damage without cutting away additional material from high-value parts.
Silbertool’s larger XR-series tool body for non-destructive restoration of damaged external threads on large-diameter parts. XR-120 is engineered for Ø 50–120 mm / 2"–4 3/4" threads and uses interchangeable XR-60/120 roller sets for metric, left-hand metric, and UN / ANSI inch pitches.
Select the roller set matching the thread pitch, set the XR-120 on the damaged large external thread, and operate the tool manually. Three pitch-specific rollers engage the thread profile and cold-form displaced material back toward functional geometry.
Large components are often expensive, slow to replace, or difficult to remove. XR-120 focuses the repair on the recoverable thread interface itself, restoring geometry by rolling rather than cutting, so the original component can remain in service where inspection confirms suitability.
A premium heavy-duty restoration method for truck, trailer, axle, spindle, fleet, and industrial maintenance teams before machining, outsourcing, teardown, or component replacement.
- Turning localized thread damage into full component replacement
- Removing extra material from large external threads
- Extended downtime from teardown, outsourcing, or parts delay
- Field improvisation on availability-critical heavy-duty components
- Axle spindle and large external thread restoration
- Truck, trailer, diesel, fleet, and heavy-duty service work
- Large shafts and components where access and replacement are difficult
- Maintenance environments requiring repeatable restoration capability
