X-Nut XL
Heavy-duty hand-operated thread restoration for damaged commercial-vehicle and heavy-duty wheel-stud threads.

X-Nut XL gives diesel, trailer, fleet, and heavy-duty service teams a pitch-specific method to restore large wheel-stud threads by hand before replacing studs, chasing with cutting dies, or removing wheel-end components. Designed for common commercial-vehicle sizes, it reforms damaged thread material back toward functional geometry and helps preserve the original stud or bolt where restoration is appropriate.
A heavy-duty hand-operated thread restoration tool for commercial vehicle, truck, trailer, and heavy-duty wheel studs and bolts. Each tool is matched to a specific diameter and pitch, with variants covering common metric and inch heavy-duty wheel-stud sizes.
Select the size that matches the stud diameter and thread pitch, place it on the damaged section, and turn the tool by hand. For added leverage, the optional extra-deep 46 mm tubular wrench can slide over the stud and attach to the tool.
The process is based on controlled cold forming rather than cutting. The tool reforms displaced metal instead of removing additional material, helping recover nut fit and preserve the wheel stud or bolt where damage is localized and recoverable.
A premium quick-access method for heavy-duty wheel-stud thread restoration before stud replacement, cutting dies, re-threading, wheel-end disassembly, or service escalation.
- Cutting away material from a large wheel-stud thread
- Replacing heavy-duty studs or bolts where thread damage is recoverable
- Extra downtime from wheel-end disassembly or service escalation
- Improvised repairs that can compromise nut fit or thread geometry
- Commercial vehicle and heavy-duty wheel studs
- Truck, trailer, bus, fleet, and diesel service environments
- Wheel bolts with matching diameter and thread pitch
- Recurring lug-nut and wheel-stud thread damage on heavy-duty assets
