XR-60 Thread Saver
A heavy-duty, hand-operated restoration system for damaged external threads from Ø 10–60 mm / 3/8"–2 3/8".

XR-60 gives maintenance teams a controlled alternative before cutting, inserts, outsourcing, or component replacement. The tool uses pitch-specific rollers to cold-form damaged external threads back toward functional geometry, preserving material on medium-to-large components where replacement can create downtime and cost.
A heavy-duty modular tool body for non-destructive restoration of damaged external threads on medium-to-large parts. XR-60 is engineered for Ø 10–60 mm / 3/8"–2 3/8" threads and supports metric, left-hand metric, and UN / ANSI inch pitches through interchangeable XR-60/120 roller sets.
Select the roller set that matches the thread pitch, position the XR-60 on the damaged thread, and operate the tool by hand. Three rollers engage the existing thread profile and roll displaced material back toward the intended geometry.
The process is based on controlled cold forming rather than cutting. Instead of removing additional material from an already compromised component, the rollers reform the damaged thread profile and help preserve the original part where restoration is technically appropriate.
A premium shop, field-service, and maintenance method for medium-duty external thread restoration before destructive re-threading, inserts, machining, outsourcing, or replacement.
- Cutting away material from a damaged thread
- Escalating recoverable damage into part replacement
- Waiting on external repair, machining, or replacement parts
- Uncontrolled methods that can change fit or geometry
- Hydraulic cylinders and service components
- Differential shafts, axles, and medium-to-large threaded parts
- Industrial, fleet, equipment, and MRO maintenance
- Recurring repair where the same tool body can support multiple pitches
